On average, a project can be completed in 2-5 days, depending on size of the job, how much preparation & repair is necessary, and how intricate the finish design will be. Foot traffic can resume 8-10 hours after the final coat of sealer has been applied. Vehicle traffic, furniture and heavy pots can be placed on the surface after a seven day curing period has elapsed.
Yes, depending on the traffic & exposure to water & sun. On average, the surface will need to be resealed every 2-4 years. In order to keep the warranty in affect, you will need to have the surface inspected every two years.
Total thickness is approximately 1/8 – ¼”. The thinner the application is the better the flexural properties. This is important to allow for expansion & contraction of concrete during freeze/thaw cycles.
First the concrete is thoroughly prepped and cleaned. An application of the acrylic modified cement is then hand troweled over the concrete. BY hand troweling the first coat, we can push the resin into the pores of the concrete ensuring a strong bond line. After the first coat has dried a pattern, using tape or a paper stencil, is placed over the first coat. A second coat of the acrylic modified cement is applied over the pattern. The pattern is then removed to reveal the final design. As a final step, 2-3 coats of a clear sealer are applied using a roller. The sealer provides outstanding weather and stain resistance.
CTI's systems are harder than concrete. Most concrete has a compressive strength of 2000-2500 psi rating.CTI's system has a 7000 psi rating.
